Corn Sentinel Plots

Collecting corn leaf samples from Corn Sentinel plots is a weekly job for Caleb and Ross who work with UGA Extension Plant Pathologist Bob Kemerait. One of them has a sample from a southern rust resistant hybrid and one is from a hybrid that doesn’t have resistance. This will help us monitor the arrival and severity of corn diseases , especially Southern Rust.

Thanks to Mims Farms (Willard, Clint and Greg) we have a local site for this study.
