34 years of groundwater level data here shows how we have good recharge in most years.

We’ve had 10 to 20 inches of rain in the last couple of weeks and it’s really wet. There is water in places that there hasn’t been in a long while. It was interesting to me how groundwater level came up and this past Tuesday it rose past the 34 year average level for the first time in more than 2 years at one of the nearby test wells. Now it’s about 15 feet down to water in the test well, which is 10 feet better than the 34 year average.  So, as we often see here, the aquifer has recharged and we are in good shape if we’ll keep getting some rains as time goes along.

Some areas of wheat fields are under water. A little corn had been planted and areas of those fields are under water.
