Peanut Achievement Club – Georgia

Posted by romeethredge on April 1, 2013

The Georgia Peanut Achievement Club (GPAC) is a UGA Extension program that recognizes the top ten average peanut yields in the state from the previous production year. The state is divided into four GPAC districts so that there is representation from all across the state in this program.

The ten winning entries receive an expense paid (lodging, meeting registration, some meals) trip to the Southern Peanut Growers Conference, July 18-20, at the Edgewater Beach Resort at Panama City Beach, FL.  Syngenta (for the producers) and BASF (for the County Extension Agents) are the sponsoring companies for the trip.

It is time to prepare entries for the 2012 Georgia Peanut Achievement Club (GPAC). We are expecting some very worthy entries with outstanding yields.

PLEASE NOTE RULES FOR DETERMINING WINNERS:

There will be 10 winners chosen in this manner:

(1) One state-wide winner that produced the highest average yield in Georgia in 2012 on 100.0 – 299.9 acres.

(2) One state-wide winner that produced the highest average yield in Georgia in 2012 on 300 or more acres

(3) One winner from each of the four GPAC districts for the following two acreage categories:
1) 300-699.9
2) 700 and up

Contact me at ethredge@uga.edu and I’ll email you any entry form if you are interested.

Applications are due by Apr 26th.
