Pigweed is growing fast as the weather warms. We are already doing some hand pulling to get escapes out of the fields. This is some older cotton. We have to kill them preventively or when they are small or we have to hand pull. They are only small for the blink of an eye it seems. Sprays at one true leaf of the cotton have been helpful. Wind conditions have made spraying difficult this year.





Here at the edge of the peanut field you can see where the sprayer didn’t spray past the crop.
