Wet 2013

Posted by romeethredge on January 13, 2014

2013 was a wet year and I have some info from our Donalsonville weather station to give us an idea of how wet it was. Of course it rained more in some spots and less in others, but this weather station data is probably a good average of what we saw across deep southwest Georgia.

You can see here that we got over 79 inches for the year which is 26 inches more than average rainfall for us.

I remember that May was dry but then June came in with a blast and it continued.  So in light of that I have a chart below showing the rainfall starting in June through the growing season. So in June, July and August we got over 40 inches of rain in a time when we normally get 15 inches.
