Question of the Week – Olive – Crown of Thorns

Posted by romeethredge on April 10, 2015

Last week I had a photo of a plant with some thorns and it was an Olive branch on a tree growing in my parent’s yard. It was pertinent to the day it was, since it was Good Friday, the day the crown of thorns was placed on Jesus’ head. The crown was likely from the olive tree since they were abundant there in Jerusalem. It’s good that his crowning and crucifixion wasn’t the end of the story as He Arose on the third day. There is no tomb that holds him. If you’d like to learn more about this, email me at my personal email at

This week my question is….What is this, (the black part) I found in an oat field today and what can we do about it now?
