Peanut Picking 2015

Posted by romeethredge on September 4, 2015

Some peanut picking went on this week but really not many peanuts have been dug as of yet. We will soon get going in a big way however.  Peanut Maturity checks are showing  the 135 to 145 day range for most of our varieties. We are seeing that some kernels in stressed dryland fields have started turning loose and so some early digging will occur to prevent them from sprouting or rotting.

Here are some photos and video of this week’s activity on the peanut farm.
