Cotton – Opening and Stink Bugs
Posted by romeethredge on August 13, 2012
Stink bugs are a problem in cotton. Consultant Wes Briggs sent me this photo of some various stinkbugs that were killed in a cotton field that was sprayed. He said they were at a very high level. This was next to a peanut field which is always a bad area for stink bugs. I’ve had several reports from folks looking at peanuts that stink bug levels in peanuts are the highest they have ever seen and now it looks like many are moving into cotton.
The photo below this shows a boll opening which is a fairly common sight now as we move into mid August.
